sonybaloney: You are his legacy I’m pretty sure this has been touched on by some people here on tumblr but it’s probably been over shadowed by the shipping going on but I just want to talk about it even though no will read. When I look at Korra and Tenzin I can see how much pressure they’re under. Korra is the AVATAR and then there’s Tenzin, the son of the great AVATAR AANG and one of the few Airbenders in the entire world. While the two of them are great in their own right, they’re always going to be living in the shadow (so to speak) of Avatar Aang. Korra is the New Avatar and everyone is going to be constantly pointing out stuff such as, things Avatar Aang had done, or have people wondering how would have the great Avatar Aang have handled things differently than Korra herself. Avatar Aang was the one who ended the 100 years war and established a new era of peace when he was only 12/13… Korra has some big shoes to fill and there’s a considerable amount of pressure. Then there’s Tenzin. The son of the great Avatar and one of the few Airbdenders left in the world. It goes without saying that like Korra, Tenzin himself will constantly be compared to his father. He has to set an example and continue his father’s legacy all while taking care of his family, working on the council, training the newest Avatar (which probably, along with that Statue of Aang, reminds him that his father is gone forvever), and desperately trying to maintain balance in the powder keg that is Republic city. I really do feel for these two. This show is making me think so much and making my feels go into OVERDRIVE
